A Comparison of Neuroendocrine and Genetic Factors in Homosexuality and in PedophiliaJuniper Psychological Services, Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada Homosexual (androphilic) and pedophilic men differ in a number of ways and two sets of differences are discussed in this presentation. Results from the literature suggests that there are neurological and endocrine abnormalities in pedophilia but not in androphilia. In contrast, some research suggests that homosexuality may have a genetic basis, whereas there is no evidence to date for a genetic factor in pedophilia.
